Queensrest
Six self-catering units on one quiet property in Queenswood, Pretoria. Solar backup power, free fibre wifi, and free secure parking behind a gate. Two kilometres from Hatfield Gautrain, four from the University of Pretoria, and close to the Moot hospitals.
Six units, one property, and 24/7 security.
Queensrest is a small self-catering guest house in Queenswood, a quiet older suburb in the north-east of Pretoria. There are six units on one garden property, from a bachelor unit for two up to an open-plan unit that sleeps ten. It's properly self-catering, so every unit has its own kitchen rather than a kettle and a tray in the corner.
Where it is. Queenswood sits close to the N1 and the N4. Hatfield Gautrain station is about two kilometres away, the University of Pretoria about four, and the city centre roughly the same. The Moot hospitals and several specialist clinics are a short drive. Most people who stay with us are here for an appointment, for work, or to visit family nearby, and we've got fairly good at knowing what each of those needs.
What you can count on. Solar backup power, so load shedding doesn't end your evening. Free uncapped fibre wifi in every unit. Free secure parking behind a gate, with room for a bakkie. And someone here to let you in whatever time you arrive, which matters more than it sounds when a flight runs late.
Choosing a unit. Queensrest 1 and 4 are bachelor units for two or three. Queensrest 2 and 3 sleep four, with 3 able to make up four separate single beds for colleagues sharing. Queensrest 5 is the group unit and takes up to ten. Queensrest 6 is a newer off-grid studio that runs on solar and borehole water and is set slightly apart for privacy.
